The conventional fashion industry generates billions of excess garments every year destined for heavy discounting, forced warehousing, or landfill. We have chosen a diametrically opposite model:

• Crafted exclusively upon confirmed order: every VESSANO piece is individually patterned and tailored only after purchase confirmation by the client.
• No mass warehouse inventory: we never produce speculative bulk stock for mass distribution. Zero unsold inventory means zero water, material, and energy resources squandered on excess.
• Respecting time and excellence: dedicated lead times (20-30 business days) allow for meticulous artisanal execution, respecting human craftsmanship and precious raw materials.

2. Leather Working Group (LWG) Certified Hides

The raw material is the core of our creations. We exclusively source superior natural hides from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG).

• Gold-standard environmental benchmarks: LWG is the most rigorous international protocol evaluating environmental compliance in the leather manufacturing industry. It audits energy consumption, carbon footprint reduction, and end-to-end supply chain traceability.
• Water stewardship and chemical safety: certified tanneries employ state-of-the-art wastewater purification facilities alongside strict restrictions and management of potentially hazardous chemicals.
• Organic origin vs. synthetic petroleum: fine genuine leather is a noble, organic, biodegradable byproduct, fundamentally superior to fossil fuel plastics (polyurethane, PVC) that shed persistent microplastics into global ecosystems.

3. Circularity and Conscious Material Reuse

Respecting a noble material means never treating it as disposable waste. Our workshop processes are engineered to maximize every millimeter of prime leather:

• Optimized cutting layouts: prior to cutting, each hide is individually examined by master artisans to map millimetric cutting patterns that maximize yield and eliminate unnecessary offcuts.
• Second life for noble offcuts: leather remnants from shaping jackets are never discarded. They are meticulously curated, cataloged, and repurposed for internal facing, structural seam reinforcements, zipper pulls, belt loops, and small leather goods.
• Zero avoidable waste: materials that cannot be incorporated into main jackets are redirected to upcycling projects and developmental sampling.

• Fighting premature obsolescence: broken zippers and flimsy sliders are among the leading causes of garment abandonment. The structural integrity of YKK hardware ensures tens of thousands of smooth operational cycles, keeping our jackets functional for a lifetime.

• DHL Express GoGreen delivery: all our global shipments are entrusted to DHL Express, an international carrier committed to ambitious decarbonization targets through its GoGreen program (investments in electric urban delivery fleets, sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), and ongoing route optimization to reduce carbon emissions).
